As a dedicated performing and studio drummer, David treats practicing seriously and is part of his daily routine.
He begins every day with a coffee and practice session before heading out creating things for people.

Sound Blocking
With his professional building background, David designs and builds bespoke practice spaces. Having designed his own and testing it himself, he knows how to minimise sound escaping from spaces. Built using a "room within a room" design with double tacked walls and ceilings, floor not touching walls and studs filled with acoustic insulation, you will enjoy your own private space and keep the neighbours happy.
Design
A practice room for a musician, garden room for an artist, a private space to work, lift weights or read is a very special space and David designs and builds these spaces like a bespoke piece of furniture. Everyone's needs are different and providing the exact outcome for the client is what David loves.

Building Regulations and Planning
Outbuildings are generally considered to be permitted development under Class E, and do not need Planning Permission, subject to a number of limits and conditions.
The most important factors are:
1) That the building is no higher than 2.5m from the bottom of the building to the top of the roof
2) That you do not take up more than 50% of your garden area with this or any other buildings
3) It is not to be used for living or sleeping accomodation.
As such, your soundproof room will be designed to comply with permitted development.
